The VBike Mission

VBike is a nonprofit organization dedicated to shifting the bike and bike culture in Vermont towards a far more inclusive, fun, and transportation-oriented future.  Our main focus is to promote exciting innovations and solutions, including electric-assist technology and cargo bikes, which profoundly expand the range, carrying capacity (children and cargo), hill climbing ease, comfort and the overall utility of biking. We are also committed to making these options financially viable to as many Vermonters as is possible.

VBike's aim is to make the bike immensely more relevant for Vermonters and to encourage healthy bodies, local living, vibrant communities and a sustainable vision for our planet. We are also dedicated to bringing to the forefront a deeper investigation to how the modes of transportation we choose influence our sensory perception of the world and our mindset at both an individual and a larger sociological level.

Our goal is to redefine bike transportation in Vermont and position the Green Mountain State as a leader in bold approaches in bike design, technology, and planning.

Our message is simply "change the bike and the infrastructure will follow!"
