Vermont Cargo Bike Design Competition

VBike is developing plans to initiate a cargo bike design competition for New England bike builders, engineers, and e-assist experts. This idea is based upon an already existing competition called the Oregon Manifest, which was developed to create the ideal urban utility bike. Our needs in Vermont are a bit different, so why not a Vermont Manifest?

The dream we have is to birth the perfect collection of e-cargo bikes that are truly modular, capable of transforming from an amazing station wagon for the kids or into a top notch cargo hauler.  Also the bike should be able to handle well in winter conditions and even mud season and meet the challenges of our terrain. Totally in this mix would be the potential for solar charging at home or on the road.
